We are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants in Dunstable to join a friendly and supportive special school, starting as soon as possible. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every pupil is supported to reach their full potential.
Support the class teacher in delivering structured and engaging lessons
Work one-to-one or in small groups with pupils with special educational needs
Support pupils’ learning, emotional development, and independence
Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain a calm classroom environment
Assist with preparing and adapting learning materials to meet individual SEN needs
Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
Support pupils with personal care and mobility needs, where required (training provided)
A DBS certificate on the Update Service is preferred
Experience working with children, young people, or SEN (school or care setting) is desirable but not essential
A caring, patient, and resilient attitude
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
