Job Description:
We are working with a lovely Junior School in Harpenden who are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and dedicated Physical Education Coach to join their team on long-term supply starting after the October half-term. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to deliver high-quality PE lessons, support extracurricular sport, and help embed a lifelong love of physical activity in our pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver and assess engaging PE lessons across KS2 in line with the national curriculum.
Lead a variety of sports and physical activities, both during the school day and in after-school clubs.
Promote teamwork, fair play, and positive attitudes toward physical activity and well-being.
Support school sporting events, competitions, and inter-school tournaments.
Work closely with teaching staff to support wider school objectives and pupil development.
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with primary/junior-aged children in a coaching or educational setting.
Holds a relevant coaching or sports qualification (Level 2 or equivalent desirable).
Is enthusiastic, energetic, and able to engage and motivate young learners.
Works well as part of a team and has excellent communication skills.
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
