About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated 1:1 Support Worker to support a child with Williams Syndrome at a primary school we are working with in Cockernhoe. This is a full-time, temporary position initially until the end of the academic year.
You will work closely with the child’s teacher and support staff to provide tailored help, fostering both academic progress and social development in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for a child with Williams Syndrome during school hours.
- Assist with both learning tasks and social activities.
- Offer emotional support, promoting confidence and inclusion.
- Support with personal care and other individual needs as required.
- Liaise with staff and parents to monitor progress.
About You:
- Experience working with children, especially those with special educational needs.
- A caring and patient approach to supporting children with additional needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
