We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and passionate Year 4 Class Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Hemel Hempstead. This full-time role is to start in January 2026, following the winter holidays, and offers an excellent opportunity to join a well-resourced school committed to providing high-quality education and pastoral care.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum, with a focus on Year 4.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all pupils to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, using data to inform teaching and ensure all learners are supported and challenged.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and senior leadership to contribute to the wider life of the school.
Maintain excellent behaviour management in line with the school’s policies and promote a culture of respect, responsibility, and resilience.
Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on pupil progress and development.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential for this role.
A valid DBS check on the Update Service is preferred.
Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 2, particularly Year 4, is desirable.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to deliver engaging, high-quality lessons.
A team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive, reflective approach to teaching.
A genuine passion for primary education and a commitment to supporting all pupils to reach their full potential.
