We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a special school in Luton, starting as soon as possible. This is a full-time or part-time position offering a rewarding opportunity to support students with additional needs in a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
Work one-to-one or with small groups of pupils to support their learning, emotional development, and independence.
Assist in managing behaviour positively, promoting a calm and supportive learning atmosphere.
Help prepare and adapt teaching materials and resources to meet individual needs.
Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to staff and, where appropriate, families.
Support pupils with personal care and mobility needs, where necessary (training can be provided).
Requirements:
A valid DBS check on the Update Service is preferred.
Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school or care setting, is beneficial but not essential.
A caring, patient, and resilient approach with a genuine passion for supporting young people with special educational needs.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A flexible attitude and a commitment to promoting the well-being and learning of all pupils.
